About Us

Drake Alton is an artist and founder of Grander life Springs. Inspired by Christian values and life he went through as a son to a single mother. Drake Alton lost his father at the age of five in a family of seven children and he is the last. The mother started the struggle to look after her children through selling some of the property her husband had left amidst opposition from her in laws who later made the family homeless claiming the house was built on family land. However, amidst the storm one individual committed to help them out which he did and this was very inspiring to him as a child. At the age 10 as he was concluding his primary level, he happened to have an opportunity to move to the eastern part of Uganda together with some ministers as drummer. This is where he happened to meet a lady who was a mother to 12 who narrated her story that the husband had gone somewhere to work but had never come back, she always made calls which were unanswered.
He came to learn that she was struggling with school fees for the children and two of them paid $15 and 5,000 Shillings. He was very touched by the story following his background so as a grade seven child he started paying school fees for two of the children using his pocket money and sometimes working for the
Neighbors after school so as to get more support for the family. It’s the story above and many more others that inspired him to start up Grander life Springs since with time he realized that so many young lives we’re suffering the same but without any source of Hope. The more he watched vulnerable children suffering
from poverty, diseases like HIV AIDS and hunger the more passion for them grew within him and he finally started G.L.S. Drake Alton Works to provide faith hope and love to some of the most marginalized and vulnerable communities living in Uganda today. Through his compassion and desire to create fulfilling change, Drake Alton has dedicated his life to helping those in greatest need. Born within a terrible situation and pressure, social tension and poor life, it’s all encouraged him afterwards. What started as 15,000 Shillings for tuition fees has grown exponentially and what was once said children and now restored children.

Through his work, Drake Alton has made change in people’s lives, he planted blossoming Seeds of Hope.
Over four years ago, Grander Life Springs waged a war against selfless survival, poverty and discrimination, serving through innovative programs that tackle the systemic issues — we provide tools that allow people to get out of the trenches and pursue a quality and purposeful life. Our full-circle approach is an ongoing commitment to break the cycle of selfless survival and empower a world of compassionate families.
